You made a start. That matters.

Built a website with AI and not sure what comes next?

You do not need a lecture, and you have not done anything wrong. You just need a friendly person to help you get from a promising website to a working one.

I genuinely admire people who have a go themselves. Saving money and learning something new is resourceful. The awkward part is that creating the pages is only one piece of putting a website online.

No judgement. No technical test.

Trying it yourself was a sensible thing to do

AI tools and free website builders make it look as though you can describe a business, press a button and receive a finished website. What they often do not make clear is everything around that website: where it lives, how your domain reaches it, what the introductory offer becomes later and who controls the finished result.

That catches out plenty of capable people. It is not a failure on your part, and it does not mean your work should be thrown away.

I can look at what you have, explain the real options and help finish the journey. If your current website can be used, I will work with it. If it cannot, I will explain exactly why before suggesting another route.

From draft to live website

I can help you take the next step

You do not need to know the right terminology. Send me whatever you have and I will help work out the rest.

  1. 01

    Work out what you have

You might have a folder of code, a link to an AI builder, a half-finished website or simply a domain name. I will identify what is usable and explain it without jargon.

  2. 02

    Find the sensible route online

If the website needs hosting, a domain connected or DNS records changed, I can recommend a practical setup and handle the technical work with you.

  3. 03

    Finish the parts AI missed

I can help with mobile layouts, forms, accessibility, search basics, analytics, privacy details and all the small things that turn a promising draft into a usable website.

The plain-English version

What does a website actually need?

Think of it as four connected pieces. You may already have one or more of them. My job is to find the gaps and connect everything properly, not to make you learn a new vocabulary.

Your website

The pages, words, images and code people actually see. An AI tool may have helped you create this part already.

Hosting

The service that keeps those website files online. Some builders include hosting in a monthly plan; standalone code needs somewhere suitable to live.

A domain name

The memorable address people type, such as yourbusiness.co.uk. It is normally renewed separately, even when it was bundled into an introductory offer.

DNS

The settings that point your domain to the right website and email services. You do not need to understand or change them alone.

About “free” website builders

A free start can still lead to an ongoing bill

Website builders offered by companies such as 123 Reg, GoDaddy and IONOS can be a quick way to begin. The important details are sometimes easy to miss: the price after an introductory period, whether hosting is included, which features cost extra and whether the website can be moved elsewhere.

That does not automatically make your choice a bad one. I will check the plan and the website on their actual merits. Staying put may be the simplest answer; moving may offer better value. You will get an honest explanation either way.

Practical, patient support

Things I can sort out with you

  • Review AI-generated code or an AI-builder website
  • Explain what you own and what is tied to a platform
  • Arrange suitable hosting and publish the website
  • Connect a domain and update DNS safely
  • Improve the design and make it work properly on mobile
  • Set up forms, analytics and basic search optimisation
  • Move a site away from a limiting builder when it makes sense
  • Tell you honestly when your current setup is good enough

Not sure what to send me?

A website link, screenshot, domain name or the name of the tool you used is enough to start a conversation. Please do not send passwords.

Questions you may be reluctant to ask

Nothing here is a silly question

Have I wasted my time making a website with AI?

No. You have explored your ideas, made decisions about your content and probably created something useful to work from. Even if the final website needs a different setup, that effort gives us a much better starting point.

Can you put AI-generated code online?

Often, yes. I first need to check what the code uses, whether it is complete and whether it can be maintained safely. If it is suitable, I can help arrange hosting, connect the domain and publish it.

I used a free website builder. Am I stuck with it?

Not necessarily. Builders from domain and hosting companies can be perfectly adequate for some simple websites, but their ongoing price, features and portability vary. I can check what you have before recommending whether to keep it, improve it or move it.

I bought a domain but do not know what to do next. Can you help?

Yes. Keep the account in your name and send me the domain name and the name of the company it is registered with. Do not send a password; I will explain the safest way to provide any access that is genuinely needed.

Do I need to understand hosting or DNS first?

No. I will explain the choices in ordinary language and can take care of the setup. You remain in control of the accounts and decisions without having to become a web technician.

Will you insist on rebuilding everything?

No. I will keep and use what is sound. If rebuilding a part or moving platform would genuinely be safer or better value, I will explain why and give you the choice before any work begins.

You have already done the brave bit

Let me help you get it over the line

Show me what you have made and tell me where you became stuck. I will reply in plain English, explain whether I can help and agree any cost with you before work begins.
