Already have a website but need somebody reliable to look after it?
I provide friendly, pay-as-you-go support for Squarespace, WordPress and other website platforms where I can safely work with the existing setup.
You do not need to have had your website built by me. Whether you need a few changes, a new page, help fixing something or ongoing support now and then, send me the website and tell me what you need.
Some web designers seem determined to rebuild everything they touch. Sometimes that is necessary, but often it really is not.
If your website is basically sound, I am happy to work with what you already have. I can update the content, improve awkward layouts, add new sections and generally help keep the website useful without turning it into a much larger project than it needs to be.
There is no monthly support plan required for occasional work. You can simply contact me when something needs doing.

I regularly work with Squarespace websites and can help with much more than simply changing a bit of text.
I can create and redesign sections, add pages, improve mobile layouts, adjust navigation, configure forms, add custom CSS and help make an existing Squarespace website feel more polished and easier to use.
You can invite me to the website as a contributor, so there is normally no need to share your personal Squarespace password.

Support for WordPress and other websites
I can also help with many WordPress websites and other website systems, depending on how the site has been built and what access is available.
Some websites use custom systems, locked-down platforms or old setups that need specialist knowledge from the original developer. I do not pretend to support absolutely everything. Send me the website address and a rough list of what you need, and I will tell you honestly whether I can help.
I will check before asking you to provide any website access.

Nothing starts until we have agreed what needs doing. If I discover anything unexpected, I will speak to you before spending additional time on it.

I get it sorted
Once I have the access and information needed, I will complete the work and let you know what has been changed.
Pay as you go£50per hour
Straightforward, pay-as-you-go pricing
Simple website support is charged at £50 per hour.
For smaller jobs, you only pay for the time used. If the work is likely to become a larger project, I will provide an estimate or separate quote before getting stuck in.
There is no open-ended clock quietly running in the background, and I will not turn every reasonable question into an excuse for another charge.
If you need regular help, we can also discuss an ongoing support arrangement that suits the amount of work involved.
No. I am happy to work on existing websites when the platform, access and current setup allow it.
Do you only support Squarespace websites?
No. Squarespace is one of the main platforms I support, but I can also help with WordPress and other website systems. Send me the website address and I will check.
Can you help with one small job?
Yes. You do not need to commit to a support contract or larger project. Plenty of jobs are simply a few updates or a problem that needs sorting.
Will you try to sell me a new website?
Not unless your current website genuinely cannot do what you need. If it can be improved without rebuilding it, I will tell you.
How much does website support cost?
Pay-as-you-go support is £50 per hour. If the work is likely to take several hours, I will give you an estimate before starting.
Do I need to give you my password?
Usually not. Squarespace, WordPress and many other platforms allow you to create a separate contributor or administrator account. This is safer than sharing your own password.
Can you provide ongoing support?
Yes. You can contact me whenever something needs doing, or we can discuss a regular arrangement if you need more consistent help.
